WATCHMAKING HERITAGE

About Heuer / TAG Heuer

Founded in 1860, Heuer became closely associated with chronographs, timing instruments and motor sports. The company developed the oscillating pinion in 1887 and adopted the TAG Heuer name in 1985.

Heuer was founded by Édouard Heuer in 1860 and developed instruments for measuring short intervals, including equipment used by motorists, pilots and navigators. In 1887 it refined the oscillating pinion used to engage the chronograph mechanism. The company adopted the TAG Heuer name in 1985; the Professional reference 925.206D belongs to its later sports-watch history.
