About Omega
Founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt, Omega built its reputation around precision and mechanical watchmaking. The Seamaster line dates to 1948 and the De Ville and Cosmic families reflect later design developments.
The Omega name came from a calibre introduced in 1894, after the business founded by Louis Brandt in 1848. The Seamaster collection appeared in 1948, drawing on the company's experience producing robust watches during the Second World War. The later Cosmic line explored one-piece cases and modern styling; the automatic calibre 752 belongs to Omega's day-date movement family.
