Brand history — Le Phare
Le Phare has a much longer history than its dive watches might suggest. Its origins go back to Guye & Barbezat, established in Le Locle in 1867. The company became especially well known for repeating pocket watches capable of striking the time. An 1889 patent sought to make the striking mechanism's regulator quieter so the chimes could be heard more clearly.
