Brand history — Gruen

Gruen is an important name in Swiss-American watchmaking and was especially inventive in the first half of the twentieth century. It remains closely associated with shaped watches. Introduced in 1935, the Curvex featured a specially curved movement designed to follow the wrist's shape; it was not simply a curved case surrounding a conventional straight calibre.
