Brand history — Girard-Perregaux

Girard-Perregaux is rooted in the Swiss tradition of precision watchmaking. In the nineteenth century, Constant Girard transformed technical movement components into distinctive aesthetic features, notably with his Three Gold Bridges. The La Esmeralda pocket watch, fitted with a tourbillon beneath three bridges, received a gold medal at the 1889 Paris World's Fair.
