Brand history — Elpe / Chronometro Elpe

The Elpe name remains sparsely documented in generally accessible archives. Its historical interest lies partly in monopusher chronographs sold before more sporting post-war chronograph designs became widespread. A single pusher can successively start, stop and reset the timing mechanism, an arrangement recalling the earliest wrist chronographs and their pursuit of simple, rapid operation.
