Brand history — Breitling
Founded by Léon Breitling in 1884, the company quickly specialised in timing instruments and later aviation chronographs. Introduced in 1952, the Navitimer brought a circular slide rule directly to pilots' wrists. At the end of the 1960s, Breitling worked with Heuer and other partners to develop calibre 11, one of the first automatic chronograph movements to reach the market.
